CELEBRATING 48 YEARS OF EXCEPTIONAL WRECKER SERVICE!

   Dave Prince's career in the wrecker industry began at the young age of 12, assisting his father, Charlie Prince, who operated the Exxon Station in Coshocton, Ohio. In 1970, Charlie purchased two wreckers, and Dave quickly immersed himself in the business, gaining hands-on experience in vehicle recovery. After his father fell ill in 1975 and sold the wreckers, Dave chose to continue in the field by working for Dan Cochran, who had acquired the wreckers for his Buick garage. Despite being too young to drive, Dave's passion for the work kept him engaged in the business until he was old enough to operate the vehicles himself. By 16, he was driving wreckers after school and on weekends, further honing his skills and commitment to the trade.

   

   In 1977, after graduating from high school, Dave purchased his first wrecker, a 1957 B Model Mack, marking the official start of Prince's Wrecker Service. In 1978, he expanded the business by adding AAA services, which remain a core offering today. By 1980, Dave had established his first garage on Chestnut Street in Coshocton, operating the business with two trucks. A decade later, in 1990, he relocated to a larger facility on 5th Street, where the company continues to thrive.

 

   Dave's dedication extends beyond his professional achievements. He was awarded Coshocton Small Business of the Year Award in 2024. He generously donates his time and services to various community organizations, always ready to assist churches, the elderly, and individuals in need. His compassion has led to extraordinary acts of kindness, including rescuing draft horses from a canal and aiding a pregnant horse that gave birth during a rescue. In gratitude, the horse’s owner named the colt “Prince’s Wrecker,” a testament to Dave's impact on both people and animals.

 

  With a team of skilled full- and part-time employees, an impressive fleet of wreckers, rollbacks, service trucks, and specialty trailers, Prince's Wrecker Service ensures every job is handled with precision and professionalism. From humble beginnings with a single wrecker to becoming a trusted name in Coshocton County, Dave Prince's unwavering work ethic, expertise, and generosity have made him a cornerstone of the community and a symbol of dependable service.
